Netflix Announces Anime Series Incoming For Summer 2026

Netflix Announces The One Piece Setting Sail in 2027

Netflix is proud to announce their slate of anime series incoming to the streaming platform when Summer 2026 rolls around. The slate is quite extensive and encompasses a wide variety of genres. We’ve got sports anime, we’ve got a not-quite-Sword Art Online-style virtual reality anime, we’ve got the world-famous One Piece, and we even have a sci-fi comedy anime series that as of this writing is still free on YouTube, oddly enough. There’s something in here for everyone. You may even recognize a bunch of these anime series from Crunchyroll, which suggests that they and Netflix have some kind of deal going on for Netflix to be about to stream them. Oh well, at least there’s now more options to watch these paricular anime series beyond just Crunchyroll now.

But that’s enough out of me for now. Here’s the full list of anime series incoming to Netflix in the U.S. come Summer 2026 below:

Netflix Streaming New Anime in Summer 2026, Including Crunchyroll Anime

As you can see, it looks like Netflix has made some kind of deal with Crunchyroll in the background. Otherwise, there’s no way Crunchyroll would let Netflix stream their exclusive anime. Most likely, it involved quite a bit of money changing hands, but that’s just speculation without any official confirmation behind it. Your guess is as good as mine, but the end result is that if you have a Netflix account, now you can watch these Crunchyroll anime without needing a Crunchyroll account. We might even get some more Crunchyroll anime on Netflix in the future, so fingers crossed.
