Where Do You Even Start With This Man?
As we mentioned before, Zeno Robinson has a lot going on. When he’s not laughing at the latest Jabber fancams or hosting a massive Boba meetup in San Diego, he’s hard at work on some of your favorite animated titles. This time, we talked The Comic Shop, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and Project Super Crush! It was a great conversation and you can check out the absolute chaos for yourself down below!
Some Love for Harry Osborn in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man:
“Look, I’m a gigantic Spider-Man fan. I’ve been my entire life, ever since I was a kid. So, I know I know so much of the lore, inside and out. I know so many of the different variations of the characters from different comic book runs, to different TV series and films. I really set out, when they offered me Harry, I knew what it would like mean to the sort of the Spider-man mythos,” the star mused. “The greater Spider-Man universe? I really set out to make him as memorable as I could, as memorable as possible. I wanted people to sort of see him in this new kind of take that we’re doing on it. But, I wanted to make it equally as memorable as all the other legendary Harry Osbournes that we’ve seen so far. So, that was my goal. I was like, ‘How do I make each session? How do I make him stand out? How do I make him feel more lived in or more realistic? Or more like ‘people want to be his friend?’ How do I justify Peter wanting to be his friend, and Nico wanted to be his friend? You know, it’s been really fun. It’s been a really fun journey exploring that!”
On Project Super Crush:
“Listen to the the audio drama! Josh is hard at work. It’s a three-part novel series that Josh is adapting into audio drama. [Project Super Crush] is fully living and and Joshua does the voice of the main character. They write, they do the the music, the foley, they’re composing all the sound effects, it is all them! Like a one-man team, and me doing what I can to help,” Robinson explained. So yeah, it is a labor of love for them. And, I’m excited for people to see part two of the audio drama. They intend to make it even more immersive and more lived in, and that’s hopefully gonna be out in September.”
About “The Comic Shop”
“A quirky group of friends will do whatever it takes to keep their Los Angeles comic book store alive — under the constant threat of eviction, rival big-box stores, and their own ridiculous schemes. If you love The Guild, Abbott Elementary, or Awkward Black Girl, this is your next binge.”
