Crunchyroll is proud to unveil a whole bunch of their upcoming anime series in a showcase at New York Comic-Con 2026 (NYCC 2026). All featuring Tim Lyu and Lauren Moore as the hosts of that showcase. The list of anime they revealed there is quite extensive, and cover the range of genres. We have the long awaited anime adaptation of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the equally as long awaited anime adaptation of Ghosts of Tsushima, and even the highly long awaited anime adaptation of the Green Yuri manga, known more officially as The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All. All in all, there’s something for everyone in this announcement, with all of these anime series coming sometime in the future, either next year in 2027 or even in 2028.

But that’s enough out of me for now. Here’s the full showcase Crunchyroll had at NYCC 2026 below:

Sekiro: No Defeat

Crunchyroll kicked off the showcase with a sneak peek of a world premiere clip of Sekiro: No Defeat. The fully hand-drawn anime adaptation produced by KADOKAWA, Qzil.la and ARCH will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll as an eight episode series beginning January 2027.

Ghost Of Tsushima Legends

The Crunchyroll Showcase offered attendees an exciting first look at Ghost of Tsushima Legends, the highly anticipated anime produced in collaboration with PlayStation Productions. It featured a sneak peek at a work-in-progress trailer, giving fans an early look at what’s to come. The series is based on Ghost of Tsushima Legends, the online multiplayer mode of the blockbuster action-adventure PlayStation video game, Ghost of Tsushima, from Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sucker Punch Productions.

The upcoming series brings together an all-star creative team led by director Takanobu Mizuno, with Gen Urobuchi (NITRO PLUS) handling series composition/script, Satoshi Maejima (NITRO PLUS) as scriptwriter, 2026 Emmy Award winner Takashi Okazaki as character designer, Keiji Inai (“Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” Series, “Star Wars Visions: The Duel”) as composer, and Yoshikazu Iwanami (“Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” Series, “Batman Ninja”) as sound director. The showcase also unveiled the series’ newly announced voice cast, including Mayumi Saco and Shinya Fukumatsu. Currently in production by HAYATE in collaboration with PlayStation Productions, Ghost of Tsushima Legends is set to arrive in 2028.

Additional Showcase Details

During the Showcase, HAYATE, LINE Digital Frontier Corporation, a subsidiary of WEBTOON Entertainment, and Crunchyroll announced an exciting anime co-production partnership focused on adapting a slate of WEBTOON series titles into anime. Under this framework, the three companies will collaborate from the development stage on potential anime adaptations of around 15 select titles. HAYATE will lead the development and production in collaboration with Crunchyroll and LINE Digital Frontier, and Crunchyroll will exclusively stream the resulting anime in select territories. Each announced anime is based on a webcomic available through LINE Digital Frontier’s mobile application. In addition, the companies shared news and reveals surrounding the following titles: The Remarried Empress (a newly announced anime adaptation, with character art, special promo trailer that revealed the main production staff and main cast); Teenage Mercenary (a new teaser visual and special promo trailer revealed); and The Boxer (a newly announced anime adaptation, with a special promo trailer revealed).

NEW SERIES, FIRST LOOKS, AND MORE

Kagurabachi

Following the announcement that the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Kagurabachi is coming to Crunchyroll next year, fans at the Showcase got exclusive in-room access to brand new character art from the upcoming series. The series follows Chihiro Rokuhira, a boy who aspires to become a swordsmith and took daily training under his father Kunishige, a renowned swordsmith. Their days, once filled with laughter, are brutally torn apart by an attack from the mysterious sorcerer organization, the Hishaku. From that day on, everything changed. In a world engulfed in darkness, Chihiro takes up Enten, the seventh Enchanted Blade left behind by his father, and sets out on a blood-soaked path of revenge.

EAT-MAN

EAT-MAN NA key visual

Crunchyroll revealed the first look of EAT-MAN, a new anime adaptation of the 1997 series, following Bolt Crank, an enigmatic “explorer”- a mercenary who takes on dangerous jobs that meet his own moral standards. Known as one of the best explorers around, Bolt has a unique ability: he can eat anything and later reproduce it completely intact and functional.

Here U Are

The worldwide premiere trailer for Here U Are made its debut at the Showcase. The series follows Yang Yu, a university upperclassman who’s loved by everyone, and Huan Li, a quiet, antisocial new student. The two of them get off on the wrong foot, but despite clashing and repelling one another at times, they are still drawn to each other. 

Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret

Marked for a January 2027 premiere, Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret made its next big reveal with the world premiere trailer at the Showcase. Previously announced alongside the key art, the romantic comedy follows Hizashi Hiruno, a freshman at a super-elite high school, who has just finished his first academic proficiency test of the year. He anxiously awaits the results, which will set the tone for his next three years at school. But due to a mistake on his answer sheet, he receives an abysmal score and gets sent to remedial lessons! If there’s one silver lining, he’s not the only one—and his comrade could be the girl of his dreams?!

Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized!

Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized! JP key visual

A new trailer and key art offered fans a closer look at Magical Buffs, arriving next year. The anime is produced by J.C. Staff (Toradora!, Honey Lemon Soda), with music by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia, Haikyu!!), Luke Standridge, and Asa Taylor. The showcase also delivered a special surprise for fans, revealing that global music powerhouse LiSA will perform the anime’s opening theme song. The series follows Wim Strauss, a skilled support mage, who, after being expelled from his guild for overshadowing its leader, gets a second chance when his childhood friend invites him to join her A-rank guild, Nachtibelle. 

Berserk of Gluttony Season 2

Fate Graphite is back! Fans at New York Comic Con got a sneak peek into season 2 where Fate continues to wield the unparalleled power of Gluttony, the ability to devour the skills and stats of anyone he kills. After surviving countless deadly battles alongside Greed, his black sword and trusted companion, Fate finally returns to the royal capital. Once one of the have-nots, shunned and looked down upon, Fate has never forgotten what it was like to live at the very bottom. Now, he takes a new step forward as a Holy Knight. But an even greater battle awaits him—one that will lead him closer to the truth behind their world. Now, Fate’s destiny begins to move once more.

The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All

Crunchyroll unveiled a world premiere trailer for The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All, giving fans another look at the acclaimed series. The story follows a fashionable, rock-music-loving high schooler who falls for a mysterious worker at a local CD shop. Directed by the director of Horimiya, with character designs by the character designer of Oshi no Ko; cast includes Mariya Ise (Killua, Hunter x Hunter) and Akari Kito (Nezuko, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). The first two volumes are available to read now on Crunchyroll Manga.
