Now that the trailer for Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew has been making waves online, fans are remembering the franchise that made them fall in love with C.S. Lewis’ books (if they hadn’t read it before). Just in time for Christmas, fans can purchase The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe on December 15 as part of its special 4K Ultra Steelbook release!
The film, which starred Georgie Henley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, and William Moseley as the Pevensie children, took us into the world behind Professor Kirke’s wardrobe and the rest was history. With an all-star cast that included Liam Neeson as Aslan, Tilda Swinton as the White Witch, and James McAvoy as Mr. Tumnus, the film did an incredible job of bringing Lewis’ work to life.
And now you can own this special edition steelbook!
Perfect for any Narnia fan
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe helped bring a new generation into the world of Narnia. It inspired new children to go and read Lewis’ books and set the tone for the rest of that series of adaptations. Now, with Gerwig bringing to life her own take on the Narnia books, it is a pretty great time to revisit the classic.
The film is described as follows: “Prepare to enter another world when Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media present C.S. Lewis’ timeless and beloved adventure. With stunningly realistic special effects, you’ll experience the exploits of Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter, four siblings who find the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of “hide-and-seek” at the country estate of a mysterious professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, once peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs, and giants that has been turned into a world of eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis. Aided by the wise and magnificent lion Aslan, the children lead Narnia into a spectacular climactic battle to be free of the Witch’s glacial powers forever!”
The bonus features for the 4K Ultra release include:
- Creatures, Lands & Legends:
- Creatures of the World
- Explore Narnia 3-D Map
- Audio Commentary with Director Andrew Adamson and Stars
- Audio Commentary with the Filmmakers
You can purchase your own copy on December 15!
