Delusion: Den of the Mosquito is running in Los Angeles right now. The event is a live-theater attraction that places you in the middle of the story. We got the chance to sit down with creator and director Jon Braver to talk about the attraction and future plans for the event. Check out the interview below.

The conversation with Jon was enlightening not only from a perspective of this year but for the past, present, and future of Delusion. The event has gotten so popular and large that the need to expand would be obvious. That expansion wouldn’t just be for the physical event, but maybe a movie. Hearing about the possible Delusion movie was also intriguing to say the least.

As for the current event, it’s the most interactive that I’ve done in my time going to Delusion. You can read the full review of this year’s event here.

What We Had To Say About Delusion: Den of the Mosquito

So you might be thinking, well that price is a bit high for a 50-minute experience, and I would say that’s fair to assume. However, when you’re taking into account the haunted houses/mazes that you’re doing at other events in the area, the time spent in an actual experience is actually more at Delusion than it is at something like Halloween Horror Nights. The show is around 50 minutes long and other haunted houses are like 3-4 minutes, and if there are 10 of them (like at Knott’s Scary Farm), that’s still only 30-40 minutes of actual scares.

The 1920’s theme fits the location perfectly. For fans of that era and this type of folklore, you’ll be right at home. For those that are Delusion veterans, everything that’s made the previous shows so special has been included. The actors are on top of their game, even being able to ad-lib with you, if you dare to. I had a nice conversation with Marcelo in the show about having to know a guy to know a guy to get in. Its small things like that, that make this experience all the more special.
