Prime Video dropped the first look at Vought Rising! The Boys’ highly-anticipated new series stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. We’re taking a trip to the past in this universe and people are excited for this one

Vought Rising is a prequel to The Boys

The Boys’ main series season finale was this week. But, fans already have Vought Rising to look forward to. Viewers can explore the past of The Boys universe in 2027. Luckily, there’s a teaser for folks to sink their teeth into now!

We’ve got a murder mystery on our hands folks! World War II has come calling. Compound V is still in an experimental phase. However, we’re not just getting edgy 50s here, the sharp satire from The Boys previous entries is alive and well with Vought Rising.

Why are we going back?

Here’s how Prime Video describes the new show: “Set in the 1950s, the prequel series explores the twisted origins of Vought International. The teaser offers a diabolical first look at the world and story that will define this next evolution of the franchise.”

Vought Rising stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, who will also serve as producers. The series also stars Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.

Paul Grellong serves as showrunner and executive producer. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, and Jim Barnes also serve as executive producers on the series.
