THE DEVIL’ S MOUTH
Prime Video has released the first trailer, teaser poster, and a batch of first-look images for The Devil’s Mouth, an upcoming survival thriller set to drop globally on July 29. Set inside Thailand’s stunning coastal cave systems, the film mixes creature horror with an intense survival story, trapping a group of recent college graduates in one of the last places anyone would want to be hunted.
Directed by Jeff Wadlow, The Devil’s Mouth stars Kathryn Newton, Lana Condor, Nico Hiraga, Gavin Casalegno, Tommi Rose, and Tayme Thapthimthong. While the cast may be familiar from teen dramas, comedies, and horror films, this time they’re swapping graduation celebrations for a desperate fight to stay alive.
A NEW UNDERWATER THRILLER
The group of friends embarks on one last unforgettable adventure together before beginning the next chapter of their lives. Traveling to Thailand, they sign up for a guided swim through the isolated, but gorgeous, cave system known as The Devil’s Mouth. Of course, nothing goes according to plan. I mean, personally, just by the name, that was the first clue.
After entering the caves, the group discovers that a recent storm dramatically changed the environment below the surface. Sea life was swept into the freshwater cave system, killing most of the creatures trapped inside. Well, most… but not all.
Something has survived.
A Bit Side-Questy, But A Big Moment At The End
The trailer wastes little time revealing that an unseen predator stalks the narrow passageways, forcing the group deeper into the maze as they search for a way out. Every tunnel feels tighter than the last, every wrong turn raises the stakes, and the caves themselves become just as dangerous as the creature hunting them. As fear begins to outweigh reason, the group’s trust slowly fractures. Panic spreads through the cave system as survival instincts take over, forcing each character to confront impossible choices.
Will our friends survive? Will the unseen stalker take them out, or will the dangerous environment of dwindling oxygen, confusing narrow pathways, and darkness take them out?
Jeff Wadlow directs The Devil’s Mouth from a screenplay by Aja Gabel and Myung Joh Wesner. The film is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Wadlow, with Carsten H. W. Lorenz, Will Flynn, and Sam Greenberg serving as executive producers.

The film runs 105 minutes and is rated PG-13. So, I wouldn’t expect it to be too gruesome.
For horror fans searching for a fresh survival thriller with plenty of suspense, The Devil’s Mouth looks ready to make a splash. Audiences won’t have to wait much longer to find out what lurks beneath the surface when the film premieres exclusively on Prime Video on July 29.
