Season 2 Hits The Pitch
Disney+ is ready for more goals with Dragon Striker. The Anime-influenced series is getting a second season on the streaming platform. It’s a surprise for all the fans who reached for their remotes when the show dropped. Now, we can expect more adventures with Key and The Knights in early 2027.

Dragon Striker Gets Another Season
Dragon Striker Season 2 is headed to DisneyXD and Disney+ in early 2027. Anime Expo 2026 brought the news straight from The Los Angeles Convention Center. There was a big panel for the show and host Jacki Jing got the scoop on-stage in front of some very happy fans. We don’t have that logn to see what’s going to happen to Key and his teammates.
Disney teases new developments: “The Knights face broken friendships, buried secrets and ancient evil as they fight to reach the Banner’s Helm final and risk everything for victory.”

What’s the story of Dragon Striker?
Here’s what we know about Dragon Striker. “In a world where sports and magic combine, farm boy Key discovers his ultrapowerful natural talent and learns he could be the legendary Dragon Striker.”
“Set at Kal Asterock, an elite school for students who possess extraordinary abilities, Key joins goalkeeper Ssyelle on a scrappy new team to challenge the school champions. As he struggles with the raging dragon inside him and Ssyelle fights to hold her team together, they learn dark secrets of the past and uncover an ancient evil.:
Talking about story in this series
“The moment the story and what we create become real. It’s when getting out of the frame, out of the TV and you know we we were expecting and we know it’s it’s early but are we going to see any cosplay? It’s rebuilding that to please people and ourselved to make a story.”
“But, also to be able to give this feeling of wonder we had when we were kids,” he added. “Watching anime and watching show is to make sure we kind of having the torch and give to a new generation.”
The co-creator added, “It feels like it’s our time now to tell a story and we hope like when I was kid and I feel like I want to do animation, I want to tell story, I love fantasy dancing. It’s to give my best to make sure we can give the same feeling.”
We created a show with so many diverse characters that you can kind of connect with so there’s someone for everyone.
And you can already see that people are kind of latching onto the characters and I think that’s really powerful. mean, there’s so many.

Who stars in this show?
Dragon Striker stars Akshay Kumar (Key), Rebecca LaChance (Ssyelle), Yeukayi Ushe (Milo), Waylon Jacobs (Odward) and Evanna Lynch (Ameline).
Award-winning Kevin Penkin (“Made in Abyss,” “Star Wars: Visions”) is the series composer. The score was recorded in Japan with an 80-piece orchestra. The theme song, “Power of the Dragon,” was written and produced by Cash Callaway and performed by Sarah West. The end credits song, “The Very End,” was written and performed by Kieran Rhodes.
