Avatar: The Last Airbender has been one of the most fondly remembered animated series in U.S. history. The mix of action, comedy, and oddly mature themes for a show targeted at kids combined with the all-Asian setting has resulted in a fanbase that stretches across the age ranges. That very fanbase has had…a bit more mixed reception of the sequel series The Legend of Korra, but it was still overall quite positive. Not least of which is because creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko dared to delve into some even darker themes than they had in the first series. Because of The Legend of Korra‘s success, it undoubtedly led to the creation of the upcoming Avatar: Seven Havens series. And as you can see by the title of this story, we just got a better look at it.
Paramount+ is proud to present a brand new official trailer for their upcoming animated TV series Avatar: Seven Havens. This new official trailer also reveals that we’ll finally get to see this sequel series on October 9, 2026. They also reveal in a press release that this October 9 premiere will consist of a 3-episode debut consisting of Episodes 1-3, with the next episodes also coming in 3-episode batches. Episodes 4-6 will premiere on October 16, and Episodes 7-9 on October 23. October 30 will see the debut of four episodes instead: Episodes 10-13. Of course, this entire series will make its debut exclusively on Paramount+, so you will need a paid subscription to see it.

Synopsis
Set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, Avatar: Seven Havens follows Pavi, a young Earthbender who discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra, only to find that in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, Pavi and her long-lost twin Nisha must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.
Avatar: Seven Havens stars Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi.
Avatar: Seven Havens Premiering on October 9, 2026 Exclusively on Paramount+
Honestly, that trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens is giving us our most detailed look at this upcoming series yet. And that look revealed that we’re basically getting Mad Max in Avatar form. It’s not hard to see it when you look at the postapocalyptic setting where Avatar Korra apparently somehow destroyed the world. Yeah, we know that Korra has a tendency to mess up big time when she does mess things up, but did she really mess up that much? Enough to destroy the entire world and reduce much of it to a desert wasteland? Personally, I’m sensing that there’s a much more complex story than that in the works there.
Well, alas, we’re going to have to wait for October 9 to see if there’s any truth to what they tease in that trailer. That, and see what sort of dark story they’ve come up for us in this trequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender.
What do you all think? Are you excited to see Avatar: Seven Havens after watching that trailer? Are any of you pondering getting a Paramount+ subscription just to watch it? Tell us your postapocalyptic thoughts in the comments section below.
