One Piece is one of the most famous anime franchises in the world right now. Eiichiro Oda’s story of a band of freedom-loving pirates sailing around the world and fighting an oppressive world government has caught the hearts of many around the world. Especially with the current political situations around the world that make Oda’s story seem very relevant indeed. That fame and popularity means that many, many people are looking forward to the anime adaptation of the Elbaph arc. This includes many people living in countries outside of Japan. Alas, some of those people might find it hard to pay attention to subtitles and watch the anime at the same time. Hench, it’s why dubs are popular in those countries. Normally, such dubs release in multi-episode batches for production reasons. Not in this case though.
Toei Animation and Crunchyroll are proud to announce that the English, Spanish, and Portuguese dubs of One Piece will soon stream. All to celebrate the imminent simulcasting of the upcoming Elbaph arc of the anime. All of the above dubs will make their streaming debuts on October 20, 2026 at 9 AM PT beginning with Episode 1156. Not only that, but each subsequent dubbed episode will make their premiere weekly after that every Tuesday at 9 AM.
Not just that, but ONE PIECE HEROINES will also soon get dubs in English, Spanish, and Portuguese too. All three dubs will premiere on October 13, 2026 at 9 AM PT. You can watch all of those dubs on Crunchyroll.
Want an idea of what the English dub of One Piece in particular will sound like? Well, Crunchyroll has a clip of that English dub as part of a new trailer on YouTube, which you can also watch below:

One Piece Dubs Moving to Weekly Format Rather Than Batch Format
This is a particularly interesting change, and a good one at that. The previous batch format meant that anyone who wanted to watch any dubs of One Piece would have to wait for each batch to drop. With a noticeably long delay between each batches that means that said dubs are constantly playing catch-up with the most recent episodes. On top of frustrating dub viewers who will often have to wait for weeks after binge-watching the current batch for new episodes.
Now no more though! With this new weekly release schedule, dub viewers will be able to watch One Piece at a more regular pace. Sure, the dubs will never be able to catch up with the most recent episodes in the original Japanese audio. However, now dub viewers only have to wait a week between each dubbed episode, making their experience feel more like the normal audience. At the very least, you will be able to talk about new developments each week rather than ask around to see which episode of a batch their friends saw.
What do you all think? Do you all like this new weekly schedule for the One Piece dubs more than the old batch system? Tell us your piratical thoughts in the comments section below.
