Masters of the Universe is one of the most popular science fantasy franchises in media history. Not least of which because it encompasses a wide variety of series. From He-Man to She-Ra, the stories vary wildly in content, even in spite of them sharing a shared sword and planet universe. It results in a little bit of something for everyone, which explains why it has an enduring fanbase that persists from the series’ creation in 1982 with the launch of the Mattel toys, all the way to the present day in 2026. However, it seems that Mattel has not forgotten the series’ roots in those toys. How else do you explain the story we’re getting today, and not even courtesy of Mattel to boot?
Mondo is proud to announce a pair of new scale figures from Masters of the Universe just in time for San Diego Comic-Con 2026 (SDCC 2026). The figures are a 1/12 scale figure of Keldor: the original persona of classic Masters of the Universe villain Skeletor, and a 1/6 scale figure of Skeletor’s feline mount: Panthor. They will be available as a retail price of $115 and $525 respectively. Both of them will go on sale starting on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 10 AM CT. However, they will only be while supplies last, so if you want them, then you might want to hurry.
Fortunately, the Panthor figure will also be available at Mondo’s SDCC 2026’s booth at Hall G, #5137. So if you’re attending SDCC, then you have a chance to get this feline menace.

Mondo Gives Us Impressive But Expensive New Masters of the Universe Figures
On one hand, these new Masters of the Universe figures are very impressive in terms of details. Both Keldor (aka. future Skeletor) and Panthor feature very highly detailed parts. You can see every little bit and bobble of their clothes and armor, as well as bulging muscles and carefully textured fur. There was certainly much love, care, and attention to detail given to these figures in terms of their designs.
On the other hand, those prices. Oh, those prices. Even Keldor is an eye-watering $115, which is a significant investment of funds for most normal people. Panthor is even more disgustingly overpriced at $525, nearly 5 times the price of Keldor. Yes, Panthor is much larger than the Keldor figure and you seem to effectively be getting two different figures with one purchase, but it’s still a price that will make even the most diehard Masters of the Universe fan think twice about getting this kitty, or save your money for something else from your favorite series. If you do want Panthor though, then you will need to save up quite a bit of money before you can buy him. Either online on Mondo’s online store, or at SDCC 2026 if you are attending the convention or if you plan to head over there. Oh well, we can’t help the pricing. We can only choose whether to buy or not buy.
