Owen Thiele plays the lovable Anton on the hit FX series Adults and has proven to fans how effortlessly hilarious he is. For example: His latest airport saga.
Thiele was on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York when his flight had to make an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He posted about situation on his Instagram stories and the entire 17 hour adventure included an Uber Eats delivery from P.f. chang’s to the airport, a trip to Dave and Busters, and a pretty all-star line-up on the flight.
It is, unfortunately, a relatable part of airline travel. Sometimes, things happen and you end up stuck somewhere with no where to stay and so you have to make the best of it. Which is very much what Thiele and his new group of friends did.
Fans have posted Thiele’s entire story for posterity and can be seen below:
Thiele posted on Instagram about the saga and included comedic legendary such as a story about lo mein that showed someone essentially ordered just noodles. Each new story showed fans how Thiele and his Adults character are alike, just collecting new friends and having a night of adventure.
But part of the hilarity came from Thiele posting that both Andrew Garfield and Nick Robinson were on this flight.
At least they got to go to Dave and Busters?
Thiele and his chosen new friend group went out of the airport to spend their hours in Albuquerque to the best of their advantage. Meaning they went to Dave and Busters and got someone else’s Uber Eats order but the hilarity really came from the realization that Robinson and Garfield were really on the same flight.
When Thiele posted their names, it was easy to assume that he was joking. But then as the journey progressed, Love Island season 8 contestant Dylan Wrona posted a picture of himself and Garfield in Albuquerque talking about the same flight Thiele was on. They should have also hit the Dave and Busters.
They eventually made it back on the flight with Thiele claiming his new seat was next to Robinson. But that also wasn’t the end of their journey. The flight had a weight problem and he said they did bring sand bags on the plane to level it out.
Eventually, Thiele and the entire group of friends he made on this Delta flight with a detour made it to New York. We were told by Thiele posting a whimsical picture of himself in an Uber in the city.
Luckily, everyone was fine but it did unlock a new dream scenario: Hanging out with Owen Thiele at a Dave and Busters.
