A new thriller is on the way
Tubi revealed a first look at Taye Diggs in the new thriller Stepfather. The movie heads to the free streaming platform on June 19th. In addition to Digs, we also get Tamar Braxton in a big role as well! Always good to have these Tubi movies flowing for the summer months!
Stepfather brings the tension
Taye Diggs flips the switch from the perfect dad to something more sinister in the new trailer for Stepfather. Tubi is back with another original thriller. And, this one looks super enticing. Diggs plays Darnell, a man in search of the perfect family. In this clip, it seems like he’s achieving that goal. He’s married to a wonderful woman and has children in a delightful home.
But, things go south, and in a hurry! Tamar Braxton plays his wife. And, she’s gonna need to wake up to the fact that her husband isn’t what he seems. It’s a standard domestic thriller. But, with the great twist of Diggs playing against type here. (He’s usually the kind of great father figure in his career, and that’s what we’re playing with here!) That is, until tensions rise and they uncover his deadly pattern. Now, getting rid of them won’t be as easy as he planned.
Stepfather stars Taye Diggs (All American), Tamar Braxton (Braxton Family Values), Kalani Jules (Find Me in the Void), and Jessica Jarrell (Hijacked). The film also features Janeline Hayes (Girl’s Trip), Dante Brown (Dash and Lily), Troy Brookins (Stargirl), TJ Shaw (Babysplitters), Koda Kalani Beschen (Chemical Sundown), and Elizabeth Dantus (The Sweetest Heir).
Chris Stokes is behind the camera for Stepfather. (His previous credits include I Didn’t Do It.) Stepfather gets real on Tubi June 19.
