Remain Uncorks A Wild Mystery
M. Night Shyamalan is back with Remain. The new Warner Brothers film dropped a teaser today. And, Jake Gyllenhaal is in way over his head. The movie drops on Valentine’s Day 2027. Jake Gyllenhaal Is In Over His Head
Jake Gyllenhaal is dancing at the edge of reality’s veil in Remain. M. Night Shyamalan is back with a brand-new thriller for theaters. Remain hits the big screen on February 14, 2027. In the new movie, Gyllenhaal plays an architect in some new surroundings. However, this move proves to be deadly as weird things spring up in the little town.
Shyamalan is no stranger to a mysterious thriller. Just check that IMDB page and you will see a ton of fan-favorites. But, in this modern period of his career, the stories that Shyamalan chooses to tell are just as interesting as the actors he picks to lead them. In this case, we’re going back to some excellent territory with Remain. Gyllenhaal is a great pick to look bewildered as the chaos unfolds around him.
Get Ready For Some Twists
Gyllenhaal’s character is more than they surface. He’s left a psychiatric facility in search of a new start. But, can he trust this new town that he’s wandered into. In addition, Phoebe Dynevor’s Wren also provides untold intrigue for a man questioning his grip on reality.
Is she a ghost? Is he a ghost? Is Shyamalan really going back to thematic material from one of his biggest early hits? We’ll just have to wait until early next year to see. One thing is for sure, this teaser has the fans talking already. If you saw Trap, you know the director still has a knack for keeping audiences on the edge of their seat.
What’s this movie about?
When reclusive architect Tate Gordon moves to small coastal town to complete his latest project, he encounters an alluring young woman who pulls him out of his shell, and into the center of a deadly mystery that hangs over the town.
Gyllenhaal stars alongside Phoebe Dynevor, Ashley Walters, Julie Hagerty and Jay O. Sanders. Shyamalan directs from his own screenplay, story by Shyamalan and Sparks. The film is produced by Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock and Theresa Park, with Sparks executive producing.
There’s an all-star cast behind the camera as well. Director of photography Adolpho Veloso joins production designer Sam Lisenco, editor Noëmi Preiswerk,and costume designer Caroline Duncan. Casting director Douglas Aibel recruits this intriguing ensembled. Music supervisor Gabe Hilfer and composer James Newton Howard set the vibe.
Remain whisks into theaters on Valentine’s Day 2027.
