Patrick Dempsey will join the cast of Dexter: Original Sin as a series regular. The prequel series follows a younger Dexter, years before the killer-of-killers made famous by Michael C. Hall in the Showtime series. Dempsey will play Aaron Spencer, the captain of the Miami Metro Homicide department.
