‘Yellowjackets’ Releases Teaser and Sets Season 4 Premiere Date

Yellowjackets returns for its fourth and final season Friday, November 20 exclusively on Paramount+ with the Premium Plan. As the survivors race to bury their sins before rescue arrives and an old flame roars back into town with plans of her own. Turns out not every homecoming is a joyous one, and this one’s going to sting.

The teaser gives us a little taste of what is to come in this fourth and final season. Beginning with a “breaking news” broadcast, it is announced that the Yellowjackets have been found. And while the teaser does not give much, it does at least confirm that the team being found must be a major part of the story for this season.

That asks the question: What will be happening in the flashbacks of this season? It seems likely that their rescue could come early in the season, giving them time to explore how the acclimated back to their lives and what kinds of issues they may have faced with what went down in the wilderness. And how will the present weave into that? There are so many questions, but unfortunately we will have to wait until November to get them answered.

About Yellowjackets

Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.

Season four stars Melanie Lynskey, Emmy nominee Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher,  Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson,  Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins), Nia Sondaya, Jenna Burgess, and Hilary Swank.

Yellowjackets is executive produced by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson.  They are also the showrunners.  Drew Comins of Creative Engine also serves as executive producer along with Jonathan Lisco, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Julia Bicknell. The series is produced for SHOWTIME® by Lionsgate Television.

Yellowjackets is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. All previous seasons of are available to watch now with the Premium plan on Paramount+.
