Is Jocasta a villain or just misunderstood?

One of the common ideas about villains in this universe and beyond is the question of perspective. Namely, is a villain just bad to the bone, completely evil. Or, are they holding up a mirror to something the heroes don’t want to see. Maybe they’re blind to the danger they’ve wroght themselves? At any rate, Miller seems to think that Jocasta’s backstory will end up getting some fans on her side. Exciting to find out!

“She’s a villain, but she’s she’s complex. She has soul and She has a heart. But she also has laser eyes,” the actress joked. “We’ll take you out unapologetic. So, I think you just wanna be on her good side, right? I know I would. Ask Mary. Speak to Mary Stone about it, you know? Katharina Wells.”

“No, I think she’s you have some villains which are just bad and evil and it’s easy to hate,” Miller smiled. “I don’t think it’s going to be easy to hate Jocasta. I think audiences will hear her and maybe even root for her a little bit?”
