‘Big City Greens’: Cricket Green On Season 5’s Wild Adventures [THS Interview]

The Greens Are Back!

Big City Greens is back on Disney Channel and streaming on Disney+. The show is now the longest running Disney TV Animation program on the network. Cricket Green and his family journey to the city, back out to the farm, and even outer space across these 5 seasons of TV. The creative team (Creators Chris and Shane Houghton) includes so much heart in Big City Greens. Characters grow up, learn about themselves, and evolve more than you would suspect from the bouncy bubbly nature of those early adventures. Now, in Season 5, there’s even more to explore and learn from an animated yellow family!

Going Down Memory Lane with Cricket Green

As Big City Greens continues on Disney Channel, I spoke with Cricket Green who serves as our protagonist for the show. An international man of intrigue and the life of the party for the Green family. We talked about what’s coming in Season 5, and how his family has been getting along over the course of this journey. Cricket also shared some details about how they’ve handled holidays leading into the season. Clearly we’re having a blast, and you can see our friend’s unique brand of chaos down below!

Cricket On A Unique Adventure in Season 5

“I mean for one episode, my dad traps me in a cage at one point! And he learns it’s so easy to parent me when I’m in a cage, that he can’t stop caging me up. Taking me to the doctor, and getting shots and stuff. He just starts relying on this cage instead of, you know, actively parenting me,” Cricket joked.

If that weren’t funny enough, there’s also a nautical adventure coming that puts these farm people to the absolute test. Poor Remy is going to have to get everyone in line if they’re going to be successful on the high seas. During that portion of the interview, we also learned that cricket knows very little about being on a boat.

“So, that was that was a crazy day. And then, oh golly, there’s one day where like my whole family got on a boat with Remy,” the star added. “We raced boats around, but it turns out we don’t know nothing about boat.s Remy gets quite upset because he has to be the captain, and well, we don’t know anything about being on boats!”
