What’s Coming In Gundam Showcase 2026
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is off to a wild start. Banda Namco Filmworks will reveal a brand-new Gundam anime series as a part of their presentation. The Gundam Showcase 2026 will feature a ton of different shows and games. So, buckle up fans, things are about to get pretty wild among the stars.
Fresh off the success of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, Bandai Namco is pushing forward. The Gundam Showcase panel will highlight gunpla kits, video games, and of course the newest entry in this long-running franchise.
For the people who can’t make the trip down to San Diego, You won’t have to miss out on all the Gundam fun. Go Gundam Channel International will broadcast a special program with all the information. THS’s Take on The Big Showcase
It’s always fun to get a brand new Gundam series. And, the franchise has never been more popular period from individual Gunpla model kits to the big screen debut of Gundam Hathaway, it’s hard not to find anybody in phantom circles who doesn’t have a little affection for these giant robots.
And, the prospect of a brand new series presents all kinds of interesting questions for go to newcomers and old heads alike. Namely, where is this new series occurring on the timeline? Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX did some fun things with the established lore of thise series. Literally going back to the beginning to rewrite history.
But, this new effort could basically be anytime or anyplace! One of the franchise’s biggest modern hits is Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. While that series has nods and references to old faves, it also veers wildly from what came before it. Balancing these moments for longtime fans with relative newcomers is crucial.
