The global popularity of ONE PIECE has been exploding recently. Much of it because of the recent streaming debut of Netflix’s live-action ONE PIECE adaptation back in March 10, 2026. As a result, pretty much everyone on the planet is getting to know the Straw Hat Pirates and their quest to find the legendary (and titular) treasure of the Grand Line. Thus, there is a whole lot of hype around the entire franchise, which is surely making creator Eiichiro Oda quite giddy. All that hype also means that we’re going to have a lot more ONE PIECE-themed stuff going around, which only further increases the hype. And what better way to add to that than a whole new convention?
Toei Animation is proud to reveal their plans for the launch of the first-ever ONE PIECE Fest celebration. This new celebration will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 to Wednesday, August 26, 2026-just in time for this year’s ONE PIECE Day-at Cosm Los Angeles. The 65,000 total square feet venue will be filled with panels, performances, activations, exclusive merchandise, and more; complete with a specially-produced immersive “Elbaph Experience” in The Dome. Additionally, there will be a private VIP Preview for special guests and media by invitation only on August 24: the night before the event.
So how do you obtain tickets for this ONE PIECE Fest, you might ask? Well, each and every one of the tickets will only be available via a lottery, which you can enter at the event’s official website. Winning the lottery gives you the chance to purchase the tickets during a “designated access window”. Alas, further details will only be available to the winners of the lottery who purchase a ticket, and are not part of this general announcement.

On one hand, it’s pretty obvious that the worst part about this is the lottery admission system. Having to then pay for the admission price after winning the lottery feels like being kicked while you’re down on top of it. You can get why they did it though. Cosm Los Angeles has a limited capacity for people, and “only” 7,000 people will be able to attend this event. It sounds like a lot, until you realize how many ONE PIECE fans there are in Los Angeles alone. My guess is that this lottery is meant to make it more fair for everyone so that you can’t just buy your way into this event at obscene prices. If that’s the case, then good on them at least.
What do you all think? Are you hoping to be one of the lucky winners of the lottery to attend ONE PIECE Fest? Tell us your straw hated thoughts in the comments section below.
