This year, Disneyland Resort celebrates a major milestone – the park’s 70th anniversary.
To commemorate the occasion, Disney is going all out. Guests who visit the park this summer can experience limited-time entertainment, unique decor, new food and beverages, and plenty of special 70th anniversary merchandise.
We were able to preview what Disneyland has in store for its big anniversary celebration. Here’s your guide to events, food, merch, and more during the milestone event.
“Celebrate Happy” – Anniversary Decor & Entertainment
Disneyland Resort invites guests to “celebrate happy” in honor of the park’s 70th anniversary, kicking off May 16, 2025 and continuing through summer 2026. During this time, the park will transform with special decor, entertainment, and a dedicated “Celebrate Happy” theme song.
Sleeping Beauty Castle will feature new decor and an elegant 70th anniversary medallion. Mickey, Minnie, and friends will also appear dressed in custom looks for the anniversary. Beyond the castle, guests can look out for special projections on the facades of Carthay Circle Restaurant and the “it’s a small world” ride.
70th Anniversary entertainment at the park will include the return of the “Paint the Night” parade and the “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular, enhanced with fireworks on select nights. The resort’s sister park, California Adventure, will also host a new “World of Color Happiness!” nighttime spectacular, as well as the return of “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration” parade.
