CHAIN Launches Killer “Dread Lobster” Meal Inspired by I Know What You Did Last Summer

This 4th of July weekend, horror fans and foodies alike are in for a deliciously spooky surprise. CHAIN, the cult-favorite pop-up known for its creative takes on nostalgic dining, has teamed up with Sony Pictures Entertainment to celebrate the upcoming July 18 release of I Know What You Did Last Summer in the most unexpected way, via lobster roll.

Dubbed the “Dread Lobster,” this haunted food truck will creep into four secret locations across Los Angeles and the South Bay on July 5, 6, 9, and 12. It’s all part of a chilling culinary event inspired by the sun-soaked slasher vibes of the upcoming film reboot. Guests can unlock the truck’s whereabouts by signing up at dreadlobster.com or texting (505) 552-4246, where a mysterious, familiar voice just might answer.

Once located, fans will receive a free, limited-edition meal while supplies last. Those who flash proof of a I Know What You Did Last Summer movie ticket purchase will also walk away with a collectible gift.

The star of the experience is the Fisherman’s Catch Cheddar-Baked Lobster Roll. The Roll is a mouthwatering blend of fresh lemon-herb lobster salad stuffed in warm, cheddar-baked buns and topped with Cheddar Bay Biscuit® inspired crumble and crispy shallots. It’s served with Croaker Queen Chips (seasoned Kennebec potato crisps) and a Crime Lime Summer Soda. This tangy passion fruit and lime drink is equal parts sweet and sinister.

This immersive horror-meets-comfort-food collaboration perfectly captures the spirit of I Know What You Did Last Summer. A film where summer secrets, sun, and screams collide. Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and starring Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, and returning icons Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt, the movie slashes into theaters July 18.

Track down the truck, take a bite, and beware…someone knows what you ordered.
