Connor Storrie Joins ‘Ghost Rider’ As Villain

Connor Storrie is in talks to join the upcoming Marvel movie, Ghost Rider. The Heated Rivalry star is looking to join Ryan Gosling as a co-star in the film. He broke out last year in the TV show and now he’ll be directed by Shawn Levy. Its rumored that Storrie is playing the villain in the film, but it’s unknown which Ghost Rider villain he’ll be portraying. Ghost Rider should start filming next year in New York. The Hollywood Reporter and The Wrap corroborated the story that broke earlier today.

Gosling is playing Johnny Blaze in the film. His involvement was announced earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 during Marvel’s main event panel at the event. Blaze is a stunt motorcycle driver who made a deal with the devil and becomes a flaming, skull-headed spirit of vengeance. The character was created by Gary Friedrich and artist Mike Ploog. His first appearance was in 1972’s Marvel Spotlight No. 5.

This isn’t the first time that Ghost Rider has appeared on the big screen, though. Nicolas Cage played the character in two flims in the 2000s. Those films had the villains Mephisto and Blackheart. Mephisto is now part of the MCU in Ironheart and played by Sacha Baron Cohen.

Another interesting nugget from today’s news is that Dune Part 3’s Linus Sandgren is joining the film as the director of photography. Ghost Rider will shoot on film. Kevin Feige is producing the film alongside Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Shawn Levy, and Ryan Gosling.

Ghost Rider has a release date of July 28th, 2028.

Who Is Connor Storrie?

Connor Storrie in Heated Rivalry.

Connor Storrie was one of the breakout stars of the 2025 series Heated Rivalry. The gay romantic hockey drama took the world by storm. It has a second season on the way and plenty of books to go in the series. Storrie used that to catapault himself into the limelight with a Saturday Night Live hosting spot, brand deals, and now a starring role in Ghost Rider. He also earned an Emmy nomination for his work on the show. This would be his first big project post-Heated Rivalry and also has a role in the upcoming The Bell Jar.

Ghost Rider has remained one of Marvel’s most popular characters since his debut in the comics. The character combines the mythology of a cursed soul with the visual spectacle of a flaming skull, supernatural powers, and a motorcycle that can become a weapon of vengeance. Gabriel Luna also portrayed Robbie Reyes, another version of Ghost Rider, on the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The new incarnation will mark the character’s official arrival in the current MCU continuity.

That could put Ghost Rider in a very different corner of the MCU from the traditional Avengers stories. The character could potentially interact with heroes such as Doctor Strange while also opening the door to Marvel’s supernatural characters and storylines.
