More than 20 years after his big-screen debut, Ali G is making a comeback. Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s upcoming mockumentary, Ali G: Who Iz I? Baron Cohen first introduced the character on Channel 4’s The 11 O’Clock Show before launching his own series, Da Ali G Show. Ali G later made the jump to theaters in 2002’s scripted comedy Ali G Indahouse. This time, the character returns in a mockumentary-style prank film similar to Baron Cohen’s Borat and Brüno.
The new film is also a first for Baron Cohen, as it marks his feature directorial debut. The movie will be released in theaters on October 23.
