A new crime-thriller!
Kate Bohan is bringing us Undertow and we’ve got some exciting casting news. Lyon Park Production actually drops the details on this crime thriller. You’ll get to see Zach Roerig (“The Vampire Diaries”), Kayla Bohan (“Harper”), Scottie Thompson (“NCIS”) and John Littlefield (“Dexter”) in this one. Undertow doesn’t drop until 2027, but that doesn’t mean they’re not going to build this roster of talent ahead of time. Check out what we know so far right here.
Undertow Gets Some New Casting
Lyon Park Productions is getting ready to welcome viewers into the world of Undertow. And, the new casting should be exciting for thriller fans ahead of the movie’s 2027 release date. Zach Roerig, Scottie Thompson, Kayla Bohan and John Littlefield joined the project. Undertow is a crime thriller so get ready for some twists and turns. Here’s what the director had to say.
“With ‘Undertow,’ I wanted to create a tense and emotionally powerful crime thriller that puts a young woman at the center of her own story,” Kate Bohan shared. “Dakota is forced to confront danger, betrayal, and a truth about her father that changes everything. But ultimately, this is a story about finding the courage to move forward and decide who you will become.”

Casting directors Sig De Miguel and Stephen Vincent assembled this talented squad. Bohan directs and produces alongside Kathleen I-Ying Lee. Lyon Park Productions is excited about audiences getting to hear more before their targeted mid-2027 release date.
Stories about the pitfalls of human trafficking are coming into the mainstream more lately. These are important issues to be shining a spotlight on.
What’s Undertow about?
When a teenage girl, Dakota, (Kayla Bohan) is kidnapped by a human trafficking syndicate, escaping is only half the fight; the rest is grappling with a devastating father betrayal and finding the strength to save herself.
The director said on Instagram: “The word is out! Thrilled to announce my next indie feature, UNDERTOW—thank you @Deadline for the feature! From starting out early this year to wrapping on August 13th, this project has been one of the most challenging and deeply meaningful experiences of my directing career.”
