‘It Ends’ Brings Gen Z To The Forefront Of Horror This August

It Ends NEON horror movie still.

NEON is taking the Gen Z’ers out to hang out in the woods with their new film, It Ends.

The film comes from writer-director Alex Ullom and hits theaters on August 21st, 2026.

It Ends follows four recent college grads who find themselves stuck on a road that goes forever while on a nighttime drive. They are occasionally attacked by stragglers and have to find a routine to plan their rest stops, but after a few thousand miles, it all feels the same. The belief that something is better around that bend keeps them going with the hope that it’ll change eventually.

It stars Akira Jackson as Day, Phinehas Yoon as James, Mitchell Cole as Tyler, and Noah Toth as Fisher.

It Ends was previously shown at SXSW last year and went on to win Best First Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival.

The premise for the movie certainly sounds interesting. Its a lot like life itself, especially for young people going in these days. You think you’re going to take over the world right out of college and you end up on a track that feels like its never going to end. We’ll have to see how the movie handles those themes and then whatever else it has to throw at us.
