Crunchyroll is proud to announce their full slate of home video releases for their anime series (and film), all incoming for September 2026. As you can tell by the title of this story, the star of this show is the latest anime film masterpiece from acclaimed director Makoto Shinkai (Your Name, Weathering with You): Suzume. This is not, in fact, the first time Suzume is getting a home video release. In fact, you can purchase it right now from online retailers like Amazon.
However, Crunchyroll are sweetening the deal by making their version of Suzume a 4K UHD remaster, complete with a shiny SteelBook case for it. Oh, and of course, they also have four physical art cards straight from the Limited Edition of the Blu-ray edition of Suzume. On top of that, they also have a “roundtable interview” with Makoto Shinkai himself, composer Kazuma Jinnouchi, and the singer/song writer of co-composer RADWIMPS, a director’s commentary, a director’s interview, an interview with RADWIMPS, a “making of” documentary, and much more.
It’s not just Suzume though. Crunchyroll is also releasing other anime series on home video, including My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 1 and Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc-. Those too will include a bunch of physical goodies (specifically: art cards) and a host of special features.
Ah, but that’s enough out of me for now. You can find the full list of anime home video releases Crunchyroll has planned for September 2026 (listed by specific date) below:

Crunchyroll Releasing SteelBook Suzume and More at Massive Prices
Honestly, while the bonuses for Suzume and the others are nice, the prices are reaching the point of insanity. Yes, it’s the SteelBook version with the shiny, metal cases, but paying anywhere from $60 to $75 for them seems a bit on the high side for an asking price. Especially in this economy these days. Fortunately, Crunchyroll does have preorder discounts for all of these home video releases, which should hopefully bring them down into “barely tolerable” price ranges for most folks. If owning these special edition versions of your favorite anime, complete with physical goodies, is for you, then you might want to check them out.
