A few months ago, we reported that Ninja Scroll is getting a 4K remaster. Yes, this 1993 anime film masterpiece from director and writer Yoshiaki Kawajiri will soon be available to see in theaters in that crisp 4K resolution. Specifally, on October 4, 5, and 7, 2026 in theaters all across the U.S. and Canada. It’s the same anime film that was one of the movies that inspired The Wachowskis to make The Matrix, I might add. All in all, this looks like a great opportunity for fans to view one of the most iconic anime films in history. Alas, at the time we published that last story, tickets for that anime film were not yet on sale anywhere. Fortunately, as you can tell by the title of this story, that all has changed.
Global Media’s HIDIVE and Iconic Events Releasing are proud to announce that tickets for Ninja Scroll are now available for purchase. You can get those tickets right now directly from Iconic Event’s official website for the anime film. That website will also tell you which theater near you is screening this movie, as well as which version of the movie will be screening. Bear in mind, you will be able to watch this movie in both the original Japanese audio with English subtitles or the English dub, depending on which date you go on.

Synopsis
When Jubei saves a young ninja woman from the unthinkable, he assumes that’s the end of it. To his surprise, it’s only just the beginning. For all of you Ninja Scroll fans or even just fans of classic anime films who have been waiting for these tickets to arrive, here’s your chance. Now, you can get those tickets for this remaster, and even see which theaters are screening it. And considering the movie’s storied history, this might be an anime film worth watching.
Bear in mind though, Ninja Scroll is a very mature anime film. It’s full of blood, gore, violence, and sex; addressing them in a very adult manner. This is not an anime film for everyone, so bear in mind if you plan to watch it. And it goes without saying: this is most definitely and absolutely not a movie for kids. I know that there are still people out there who think anime and even animation in general are only for children. This is not something you want your kids to watch unless you want to traumatize them for life. So please, don’t let your kids watch this. You have been warned.
