Hulu Taking Over Anime Expo 2026 With Animayhem Yokocho

At every Anime Expo, you can expect to see Hulu having at least some sort of presence. It’s no surprise either. That particular Disney-owned streaming service has been trying to compete with HIDIVE and Netflix by streaming anime. They’ve even taken the logical next step of grabbing a few famous anime like Bleach and Mission: Yozakura Family, and making them into Hulu exclusives. It’s still nowhere near enough to compete with Crunchyroll, but at least they can hope to compete with the non-anime-focused streaming services. Enough so that Hulu plans to have a presence at this year’s Anime Expo in 2026, which is why we’re getting this story today.

Hulu is proud to announce that they’re “taking over” Anime Expo 2026 with their utterly massive Animayhem Yokocho booth. This will be a massive corridor based on “Tokyo’s famous alley culture” like the ones you’d see in numerous anime series. This corridor booth will consist of numerous booths, each featuring an anime that is streaming on Hulu or will be. Each anime-themed booth will have a corresponding activity in it, whether it’s a themed game or photo ops. All taking place from July 2 to July 5, 2026; of course.

Now as for which anime Hulu will feature in Animayhem Yokocho, and what activities you can do in them? Well, Hulu has helpfully provided that for us today. You can check out the full list of stuff to do below:

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Photo Opportunity

Naruto Classic Photo Opportunity

Step into Naruto’s favorite restaurant and take a seat beside a 2D cutout of him at the open stools and pose for photos with bowls of (faux) ramen.

Rooster Fighter Interactive Activity

Join life-size cutouts of Keiji, Piyoko, and Elizabeth for the Rooster Fighter Dance Challenge, where fans can dance solo or with friends as animated character overlays dance alongside them in a recorded video keepsake. If you get lucky, you might just get a surprise visit from an actual rooster mascot.

Tokyo Revengers Dragon Graffiti

Step into the world of Toman with a full-width street wall featuring iconic Tokyo Revengers art and the legendary dragon tattoo at its center creating an instant, shareable moment that puts fans right where they’ve always wanted to be: standing with the gang.

Mission: Yozakura Family Interactive Activity

The Yozakura family overslept, and you only have 60 seconds to pack the family’s gear! Guests can participate in a collaborative puzzle-like game, packing the family’s case in a short amount of time.

Though I Am An Inept Villainess Photo Opportunity

Join Kou Reirin and Shu Keigetus on the Maiden Court. Guests will be asked a question and join either side for their court portrait photo opp.

Undead Unluck: Winter Arc Photo Opportunity

Face off with Apocalypse – the devilish book that always has something to say. Don’t get whisked into the Winter Arc confrontation!

Hulu Going All Out at Anime Expo 2026

Honestly, it really does look like Hulu is going all in on Anime Expo 2026 with this kind of massive booth. They really want to be known to more people as an anime streaming service, even though they have a relatively tiny amount of anime streaming there, backed up only by a small number of Hulu exclusives. It really does look like a product of the times, when anime is starting to become more and more mainstream rather than just a niche interest. This does raise up hope that anime might become just as normal as live-action TV shows and regular movies…even though it might also bring all the negative things about it, like the raising of prices on merch. In the end, it might just be a balance of good things and bad things. Here’s hoping that the good things outweight the bad.

What do you all think? Are you eager to check out Hulu’s booth at Anime Expo 2026? Does this make you want to buy a ticket to the convention? Tell us your anime thoughts in the comments section below.
