Disney’s live-action TV series Percy Jackson and the Olympians is the one adaptation of the novel series of the same name by Rick Riordan that seems to get the books right. This is especially significant since there was a 2010 live-action movie that tried to do the same thing. Fans will readily recall that they failed in this. Badly. However, Disney’s own attempt has gotten massive praise from both critics and audiences alike, with special kudos to the casting, writing, and the action. All in all, this has left fans eager for more after the conclusion of the second season on January 21, 2026. Fortunately, Disney has heard and is answering, and at a very famous comic convention to boot.
Disney Announces Season 3 of Percy Jackson
Disney is proud to announce the upcoming third season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 (SDCC 2026). Said announcement featured starring cast members Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Charlie Bushnell (Luke Castellan), Tamara Smart (Thalia Grace), Levi Chrisopulos (Nico di Angelo) and Olive Abercrombie (Bianca di Angelo) joining executive producers Craig Silverstein and Dan Shotz (and also featuring content creator and Percy superfan Juju Green as the moderator) for a panel discussing the series and that Season 3 debut date.
Now as for that Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 debut date? Well, it actually came with a special “Curse Teaser” trailer that revealed that date to be November 20, 2026. Of course, it will continue to be a Disney+ exclusive, just like the first two seasons. Now as for that teaser? Well, you can just scroll down for that and a synopsis of that upcoming third season:
Percy Jackson & the Olympians Season 3 | Curse Teaser | Disney+
Season 3 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is based on “The Titan’s Curse,” the third installment of Disney Hyperion’s bestselling book series by acclaimed author Rick Riordan. The stakes are higher than ever before as Percy is faced with the sudden disappearance of Annabeth and the impending Great Prophecy provided by the Oracle of Delphi, dictating the fate of Olympus. As foretold by the Oracle of Delphi, one demigod child of the “Big Three” is fated to raise Olympus to new heights or bring it crashing into ruin, with their own life hanging in the balance.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 Coming to Disney+ on November 20, 2026
Honestly, this is actually a pretty fast timeline for the next season of a show to, well, show up. From January 21 to November 20 is basically 10 months, which is insanely short in most series’ timelines. Fans of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will surely be jumping for joy at getting a third season so soon, and especially after the hype generated by that teaser trailer.
A third season that will adapt the third book in Rick Riodan’s novel series: Titan’s Curse to boot. This one will be quite the dramatic season if it’s a straight adaptation of that book, especially since it will star siblings Bianca and Nico di Angelo. Percy Jackson fans will definitely be looking forward to their introduction, especially since they will introduce one of the first very firmly queer characters in the novel series. Fans of the novels will know who I mean, and those who haven’t will some fun guessing.
