Damien Leone might be busy with Terrifier 4 right now, but he’s already got projects lined up for after that film. His first major studio foray will be at Lionsgate with the film Tortures of the Damned. Leone will write, direct, and produce the film after he’s finished making the much-anticipated Terrifier 4. Leone is joined by producers Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert of the Evil Dead franchise who will produce through their company Ghost House.
As for the plot? Well, that’ll be revealed at a later time; for now, all we have is the debut poster and logo for the film. Here’s what Erin Westerman, President, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group had to say about the project.
“We’re incredibly proud and excited to be partnering with Damien Leone on his first original film after the beloved Terrifier series. I join the huge contingency of horror fans—and Damien fans—inside Lionsgate who have been following his work and cheering him on. Damien is a true genre auteur with a singular vision, and we’re thrilled to help bring this bold new project to the screen while continuing to build on the incredible connection he has with fans around the world.”

The THS Take – Damien Leone Will Be Busy After Terrifier Is Done
Even with the tremendous task of getting the Terrifier saga wrapped up and finished, Damien Leone is already arranging his ducks in a row for a film life after that. Lionsgate has been a great partner for plenty of horror movies and directors in recent memory. They’re even working on a reimagining of the 70s horror flick Magic with Sam Raimi set to direct. Leone is a visionary filmmaker in the horror genre, but it remains to be seen what he can do outside of Art the Clown in a mainstream way. The Terrifier series is one of the most successful independent horror franchises out there.
The story with Terrifier 3 left off with Sienna defeating Art the Clown, but at a tremendous personal cost. Her family is gone, her extended family is either dead or trapped in the depths of Hell. So it’s up to her to finally defeat the evil that brings about Art. It’ll be a titanic task to try to land that plane, but horror fans are eagerly awaiting the finale.
Terrifier 4 should release sometime in 2027 and it’s said to take place on New Year’s Eve. With each recent installment taking place on a holiday, it should be great to see what Art has to do with the tropes and trials of that holiday. This new movie should be a nice way to reset Damien’s creative flow after working on Terrifier for so long.
