Talking Sound Design With Ángel Gómez Hernández
With the release of “Crawlers”, I spoke with director Ángel Gómez Hernández about the film. In our conversation we talked a lot abou the sound design for the film. Specifically one of the interesting points was how to balance the sound of the spiders audiences should hear versus the usual stealth and silence they actually move in. He also talks about how he wanted to use real spiders whenever possible and how long they spent shooing then in front of a green screen. Its a great chat you can check out below!
