Buckle up, there are some thrills on the way in the new Cape Fear series on Apple TV. The streamer recruited some of the most talented actors working to ramp up the tension in this show. Cape Fear streams in one month!
Apple TV revives a classic
Apple TV brings together Amy Adams, Javier Bardem and Patrick Wilson for Cape Fear. The dark reimagining of the beloved film. (It’s already been done twice with J. Lee Thompson and Martin Scorsese.) But, The Executioners is a book with a massive cultural footprint, so that makes a ton of sense.
Nick Antosca is the creator of this effort. Bardem is Max Cady this time around. And, he’s on the prowl for the people who landed him in prison! His targets are Adams and Wilson as a married couple of attorneys in way over their head. CCH Pounder is also here, and that’s usually an amazing thing!
There are 10 episodes coming to Apple TV on June 5. Two episodes up front, followed by weekly releases thorough the end of July. You can check out the trailer for the new series right here up above!

Here’s how Apple TV teases the new series. “Inspired by the 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg, a storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson) when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance.”
