Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is the latest animated feature-length film in the Shaun the Sheep series. You know, the one that Aardman Animations created? Fans of Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run will readily recognize their signature claymation style of animation. Which, as the name implies, involves making very slight changes to clay models in order to produce animated sequences to make them look like they’re moving, hence the technique’s alternate name of “stop-motion”. That style is what gives Aardman Animations’ movies and TV series their unique and adorable look, and also what made them a global icon. Just like this newest Shaun the Sheep movie, which is why GKIDS has taken an interest in it for this newest story.
GKIDS is proud to announce that they will soon bring Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom to home video. This latest spooky Shaun the Sheep movie will be available for you to own on Blu-ray and DVD next year when January 26, 2027 rolls around. In fact, you can preorder it right now directly from GKIDS’s official website for this movie, whether in physical form from Amazon or GKIDS Store, or digitally from Apple TV, Fandango at Home, or Prime Video. Note though that the GKIDS Store has a preorder discount for both the DVD and the Blu-ray version, so if you want a cheaper option for purchasing it, you might want to check that out.
Not only that, but both the Blu-ray and the DVD versions of Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom will have a host of bonus features to add to your home video experience. You can check out those bonus features below:

Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom Heading into Home Video on January 26, 2027
A lot of Shaun the Sheep fans have been waiting for Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom to finally arrive on home video. Especially since this latest Shaun the Sheep movie originally made its debut on September 18, 2026; with Sky UK as the distributor. Honestly though, the fact that it will take only three months from its original broadcast debut to its home video release is actually quite quick for a home video release. Most movies typically take longer to arrive from theaters to home video simply because the movie theaters want to extract as much money out of the movie in the box offices before the home video releases saps the money from the box office.
Alas though, this home video release of Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom will definitely not arrive in time for Halloween 2026. That will have long since passed by the time January 2027 rolls around, which is a shame since this movie would be perfect for a Halloween viewing. Oh well, at least once you get it, you can have a Halloween 2027 viewing when that rolls around several month after this home video release.
