Descendants: Wicked Wonderland Gets Special Look
Disney Plus just rolled out a new trailer for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland. The beloved series is back on Disney Plus and Disney Channel this summer. Good Morning America gay fans a special look at the new film. Descendants: Wicked Wonderland hits Disney+ on July 17th.
Folks looking forward to the movie can catch it a day early on Disney Channel. There’s also a new single from the movie soundtrack. It’s called “Mad-Wicked Wonderland!” Check out all that and more down below.
Disney Prepares A Wonderful Return
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland is coming in just a few weeks on Disney Channel. So, the network and Disney+ had to drop a trailer to help get fans a little more information about the story. Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker are back for the latest installment of the Descendants franchise. And, it’s nice to see them back in the roles of Red and Chloe.
Folks who want to see what’s going on with the series don’t have to wait long. Disney Channel gets Descendants: Wicked Wonderland on July 16. Then, Disney+ viewers can catch the movie the next day! Now that the Queen of Hearts is nice and Cinderella is safe, things seem perfect for Red and Chloe … but little do they know that changing the past created a new villain: Maddox Hatter.
When Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts, Red and Chloe must work with Red’s new sister Pink, Luisa Madrigal’s son Luis, Captain Hook’s daughter Hazel, and Maddox’s son Max to save her and Wonderland.
Wicked Wonderland Soundtrack
As we Mentioned up top, there’s a new soundtrack for Descendants: wicked Wonderland. “Mad-Wicked Wonderland” is a villain song, but with an added twist considering the themes of the movie.
This all comes after “Perfect Princess” did some wild numebrs on social media. More than 12 million impressions is a whole lot of eyeballs for the first 5 days on the Internet. Also, we’ve got more original songs than ever on this soundtrack!

THS’s Take on the New Descendants Movie
It’s not preposterous to say that the Descendants movies have been a cultural force. Disney Channel has been delighted with the performance of these, and the fans certainly agree. There’s been one billion hours of Descendants watching across both Disney Plus and the cable network. Back in 2024, Descendants: The Rise of Red managed to be the most-watched original movie among kids and girls aged 6-11.
9 billion lifetime views sounds like a fairytale number. But, that really happened. So, going ahead with a new film is almost a foregone conclusion. The kids who began this journey with Descendants are growing up alongside the characters. And, it’s been fun to track the journey over all this time.
