They’re Finally Back!
Adults is really back for season two on FX. And this delightful cast of characters is bringing along a lot of guest stars. Gaten Materazzo, Zosia Mamet and Jake Shane are all here for the new episodes. It’s been wonderful to hear Adults was getting more episodes. Adults Season 2 Brings The Guest Stars
There’s a brand new season of Adults coming to FX. And, we’ve got a fresh trailer ahead of the big season two premiere. FX rolls out the new batch of episodes on August 27th at 9:00 PM Eastern Time 6:00 PM Pacific. All eight episodes are going to be available on FXX On Demand and Huluwhen they premiere. FXX gets two episodes a week as they premiere on the streaming service. And, international viewers can look forward to streaming adults on Disney+.
Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw created Adults. It’s a generationally tilted approach to the young adult sitcom. Early in their careers, a group of friends has to tackle life in the city and manage relationships. Catch the trailer up top for what we’re looking at.
FX Was Pumped For The Renewal
With people calling the show the Gen Z answer to Friends, it seems like a no brainer to renew this show. Still, fans celebrated the move from FX. In this entertainment climate it’s so nice to be able to continue a drama like this over multiple seasons. Here’s what EVP of development for FX Entertainment, kate Lambert had to say.
“Ben and Rebecca are incredibly talented writers, and they have expertly and hilariously captured the experience of being a young adult in today’s world,” Lambert wrote. “The entire cast—Malik, Lucy, Jack, Amita and Owen—is exceptional in bringing it to life in a way that has truly connected with its audience.”
What’s The Show About?
Over eight episodes, the housemates tackle a new set of real-world questions. What if the 20-year-old who inherited your fake ID is cooler than you ever were, and younger than you’ll ever be again? How do you explain to your friends that you actually love your boring office job? Why does being around your family make you regress into your worst self? And how do you ask for things to change, when you also need everything to stay the same?
Together, the friends weave intricate webs of multi-player strategy just to avoid hurting someone else’s feelings. They invent elaborate workarounds for problems they’re too afraid to face head-on. It’s not so much that they keep learning the same lessons – it’s that they keep finding new ways to make mistakes. But the one thing they consistently get right: showing up for each other.
