Adventure Time: Side Quests is now streaming on Hulu. The network has seen a lot of Finn the Human and Jake the Dog over the years. But, our boys are back with tons of your favorite characters in this new series for younger viewers. The cast joined us at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 to talk about revisiting a classic series. Side Quests might have a more playful tone than some of the later seasons of the main show. But, a lot of us absolutely love those Season 1 hijinks just as much. Adventure Time: Side Quests Feels Like A Big Reunion

With the new series already streaming, we had a full house. John DiMaggio (“Jake the Dog”) , Sasha Knight (“Finn the Human”) , Niki Yang (“BMO,” Director) , Victor Courtright (Supervising Director) , and Nick Cross (Art Director) talk about their experience. During our conversation, they praised Knight’s performance as a younger version of Finn. We also got into the cyclical nature of TV as a whole. Courtright and Cross also appreciate how the show continues to find new audiences. It was a downright Mathmatical conversation that you can check out below!

A Hero Emerges

One of the biggest surprises in the new show is Sasha Knight’s pitch perfect take on Finn the Human. Taking the reins of a fan-favorite hero can be daunting. But, our young friend did an amazing job with the first salvo of episodes. No one is prouder of him than his on-screen brother!

“Sasha’s been killing it,” DiMaggio smiled. “I’m really excited for him. And, he’s just wonderful and I continue to sing his praises, and blow him up, cause I’m just proud of him. He did it. He did a really great job!”

“It’s been really fun. I feel like Finn’s person kind of came kind of easily for me. He’s just in my soul,” Knight smiled. “But, it’s kind of fun to play around with the voice. And, try to figure out the right place for it. Because obviously, I was trying to make it like close to like what Jeremy [Shada] does. But yeah, just been so much fun, and just been so cool and awesome.”

Sounds like he’s been at this heroic thing for a minute already. And, there’s more of that warmth from the cast up above.

Adventure awaits a young hero Finn and his magical dog best friend Jake as they quest to party with cloud people and punch evil’s butt across the epic and fantastical land of Ooo in this all-new episodic series.
