Amelia Harvey is a freelance entertainment and lifestyle journalist. When she is not reporting about pop culture, she can be found at rock music gigs, drag shows, and dive bars. She loves attending film festivals and trying to predict the next awards winner. She often covers films and TV shows made by women about female stories, as well as amplifying queer voices in the arts.

All this has led to her being a Rotten Tomatoes approved critic, and a Member of The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, Online Association of Female Film Critics, and Film Critics Association UK

Amelia has spent 10 years writing for a host of outlets. She started writing for Whatculture and Vulturehounds before becoming a film reviewer at Frame Rated. Since then, she has written for Digital Spy, Screen Rant, The Things, Nerdspin, Movies We Texted About and The Huffington Post UK. She has also written personal pieces for The Metro.

Favorite Media

Amelia’s favorite movies depend on her mood but Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Goodfellas, Closer, Moulin Rouge and The Dark Knight are usually in her top 5. She strangely loves to comfort watch gangster and crime films as well as appreciating the most depressing films ever made. When she isn’t wasting time watching reality TV shows, her favorite TV shows include Doctor Who, Succession, Lost and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
