Crunchyroll To Celebrate 10 Years Of ‘My Hero Academia’ At SDCC 2026

My Hero Academia is one of the most popular anime series on Crunchyroll. It’s not hard to see why either. This superhero anime series that first started airing and streaming on April 3, 2016 was one of the most popular manga series on Shonen Jump long, long before it ever made its way into anime-dom. That very manga by Kōhei Horikoshi has won numerous awards along with much praise from readers, and the resulting anime by studio Bones Film (Fullmetal Alchemist, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, Marriagetoxin) won just as many awards and even more praise from viewers. Thus, you can see why Crunchyroll would be so eager to promote it even after the anime officially ended on May 2, 2026 with its special bonus epilogue episode. Especially since it’s for the anime’s 10-year anniversary.

Crunchyroll is proud to announce their full programming presence for this year’s upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2026 (SDCC 2026). Why is this relevant to what I’d just been talking about, you might ask? Well, it’s because My Hero Academia is the star of the show for their panel for the anime’s 10th anniversary. Taking place at the San Diego Convention Center’s massive Ballroom 20 on July 23, 2026; this panel will celebrate that anniversary along four members of the English dub cast who voiced some of the most iconic characters of the anime. You can check out the full details of that panel below:

More from Crunchyroll at SDCC 2026

My Hero Academia isn’t the only anime that Crunchyroll will feature at SDCC 2026. At Booth #4135, they also plan to have something for fans of Sentenced to be a Hero too. Apparently, there will be an “industry-first” Teoritta doll at the booth that will use “cutting-edge electronics” to deliver “lifelike expressions and interactive responses when guests give her a gentle head pat”.

If you want to know more, then you can watch Sentenced to be a Hero exclusively on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll Putting On a My Hero Academia Celebration at SDCC 2026

It’s pretty obvious that despite anything else Crunchyroll might have at SDCC 2026, it’s My Hero Academia that’s their star. Practically their entire presence at SDCC is centered around the 10-year anniversary of that anime. Needless to say, if you’re a fan of Deku’s and Class 1-A’s superpowered adventures, then you’re in for a treat.

With a little something extra for fans of Sentenced to be a Hero, of course. Not sure what to think about that Teoritta doll though. It sounds like some sort of advanced robot with touch sensors? Very interesting from a mechanical standpoint, but it might accidentally trip some people’s uncanny valley if it looks too realistic. Still, it could be interesting to check out when you head on over to Crunchyroll’s booth.

Provided that you’re attending SDCC in the first place, of course. Fortunately, if you haven’t gotten a ticket for it, there’s still time to purchase one from the SDCC’s official website before the convention starts on July 22, 2026.

What do you all think? Are you now interested in checking out Crunchyroll’s booth while you’re there in SDCC 2026? Tell us your anime thoughts in the comments section below.
