Disney Parks Announce Black History Month Events to Celebrate Soulfully

“Celebrate Gospel” returns for two weekends on Feb. 20-21 and Feb. 27-28, 2026, in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., and will feature gospel artist Hezekiah Walker on Feb. 21. Black History Month is here and Disney Parks is ready to celebrate soulfully! Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California both recently announced difference experiences to celebrate Black American culture. Music, art and food are coming to Disney Parks as a part of their “Celebrate Soulfully” events. These moments on the calendar always inspire some great times at the parks and resorts.

Downtown Disney hosts LIVE! Stage gospel performances on February 20-21 and February 27-28. Grammy Award-winning acts Bishop Hezekiah Walker handles those first two dates and Yolanda Adams is in the house on February 27-28. You don’t even have to buy admission to the parks to come and see these dynamite performers uplift the crowd.

 All across the parks there will be displays highlighting black leaders, artists, and thinkers. All around the resorts, from Frontierland to Hollywood Land, guests can see how these individuals shaped culture and industries. Leah Chase is highlighted at Tiana’s Place, floyd Norman gets his slot on Buena Vista Street and more! (Check out the full list here!)

Food also has to get a chance to shine with some fun offerings in February. Both Tiana’s Place and the Lamplight Lounge have tasty dishes guaranteed to have you talking:

Toya Johnson-Rushing Will handle Grand Marshall duties on February 9th at Walt Disney World. The special parade ushers in the Black History Month festivities at the resort. The parade runs straight down Main Street USA starting around 3:00 PM Eastern Time. There will be Disney characters, lively music, dazzling displays, and Disney magic to spare.

Disney on Broadway also returns to EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! Black artists bring you shows like The Lion King and Aladin along with so much more. Here’s what to look forward to:
