A Massive Haunted House Lineup

Howl-O-Scream is packing six haunted houses with its most intense lineup ever. The two new houses include:

• ALL-NEW I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch – Relive the nostalgic tale of the shocking massacre that occurred on a fateful July 4th. After an accident on a winding road, four teens make the mistake of dumping their victim’s body into the sea. But exactly one year later, the dead man returns from his watery grave, and he’s looking for more than an apology.
• ALL-NEW Area 64: MOTHERSHIP – Travel 30 years before the events of Area 64: Alien Outbreak and uncover the origins of the extraterrestrial nightmare. With the largest haunted house show scene ever created for Howl-O-Scream San Diego, including a massive 80-foot-long alien mothership façade, Area 64: MOTHERSHIP delivers an out-of-this-world scare experience.

The other four houses include:

• Nightmare Experiment Sweet DreamzZz – Sunny Meadows was once a wellness center—now it’s a testing ground for a volatile sleep aid with horrifying side effects. Guests are the latest test subjects, facing vivid hallucinations, explosive rage, and worse. Will you survive the experiment, or become its next casualty?
• Death Water Bayou Awakening – A Mardi Gras night turns sinister when you’re cursed by bayou witches and lured deep into a haunted graveyard. Dark magic drags you into the swamp, where ancient rituals awaken a ravenous demon. Will you escape the curse—or become the next feast for Death Water Bayou?
• Simon’s Slaughterhouse – Simon says “DIE!” This year, Simon’s Slaughterhouse includes BRAND NEW sensory effects that will have you screaming around every corner as you navigate through the bloody corridors, meat-hooked mortals, and screeching buzz saws of the meat processing plant to avoid the butcher’s blades.
• 3D MAZE: Circus of the Damned – The carnival has been turned upside down, embracing the distorted and surreal like never before! Immerse yourself in terror and navigate lifelike 3D elements with special 3D glasses to escape an evil ringmaster seeking to restore his cursed Circus of the Damned to its former glory. Avoid his condemned crew and escape the big top before you’re forced to join them!

Several Scare Zones To Get SCARED

• ALL-NEW Overgrowth – A nightmarish walk through an overrun greenhouse where a botanist’s mutant plant experiments now feed on passersby. This dark, tangled forest leaves little room to run – or breathe.
• ALL-NEW Terrors of the Deep – At the water’s edge, deadly sea beasts and eldritch horrors emerge from the depths to terrorize the poor fishermen who call the docks home.
• ALL-NEW Ripper Row –The infamous murderer Jack the Ripper is terrorizing the streets of Ripper Row. Everyone is on edge, distrustful, and more than willing to accost strangers if it means staying alive.
• Red Moon Revelry – Bloodthirsty cabal of vampires, celebrate the arrival of the blood moon. A feast is upon all who are drawn in by the sounds of a party.
• All Hallows Harvest – An abandoned farmland where nothing can be protected from the cursed scarecrows intent on harvesting bodies and souls to feed their dark desires.
• Deadly Toys– Don’t turn off the lights yet, creepy dolls and sinister stuffed animals may be awake from the toy box.
• The Graveyard – The fog lurks in this cemetery setting with eerie lighting and roaming undead zombies waiting to startle anyone in their space. 
• Carnival of Chaos– It’s not all fun and games when the disgruntled, deranged carnies lurk around causing disruption.

SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream 2026 also has several icons and characters walking around the park. They include:

• ALL-NEW Card Shark – A new character to the event known as a notorious dockyard smuggler and gambler, has made a fortune by taking risks and always playing his cards right. Offering high-stakes game of wits where the winner walks away with the location of one of his secret hideaways—and the loser may not be so lucky.
• ALL-NEW Dolly Delightful: RECALLED– The ever-popular Dolly Delightful doll has been recalled from store shelves and is out of the box and looking for revenge. She’s armed with deadly toys and looking for unsuspecting humans to play with.
