Will Gluck’s new movie One Night Only pairs Monica Barbaro & Callum Turner in a very unexpected romantic comedy. Universal just dropped a trailer for the film. Fans can’t get over how familiar the premise feels to movies that are in a completely different genre.

Universal just gave us a massive look at One Night Only. Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner our two singles looking to make the best of one messy night. Filmmaker Will Gluck returns to the romantic comedy scene with an original feature about searching for love. In a society where single people can only have sex one night a year, two hopefuls are making are hoping to find a connection. 

Gluck has a ton of experience crafting crowd-pleasers. Anyone but You and Easy A are fan-favorite movies. But, this time, things are getting more zany. Ziwe, King Princess, Julia Dox, and Maya Hawke also star. Molly Ringwald and Levar Burton are also here! Travis Braun wrote the script for One Night Only. Check it out for yourself right here!

One Night Only is ready for the big event

Here’s the synopsis for the film! “Academy Award® nominee Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown, Top Gun: Maverick) and BAFTA nominee Callum Turner (Masters of the Air, Fantastic Beasts franchise) star as Allie and Owen, two love-starved strangers who crash into each other in an ever-so-slightly fictionalized New York City on the one night of the year when single people are allowed to have sex.

“Recently dumped Owen and hopeful romantic Allie might be the only two singles in the city looking for more than just a quick encounter. They both feel a spark when they meet, but a series of missteps and side quests complicate their night, keeping them apart. As they each race toward and away from each other across the city, they just might discover that the one thing they want most is closer than they think.”

August 7, One Night Only hits theaters, and it promises to be one to remember.
