Ted Lasso Season 4 Trailer and Release Date Finally Revealed

Ted Lasso s4

Three years after we said goodbye to Ted Lasso, the Emmy-winning series is returning for its fourth season this summer.

Apple TV announced today that the comedy will return on August 5th, with Jason Sudeikis’s leading character returning to London. This time, the soccer coach will work with AFC Richmond’s second division women’s team.

What We Know About Ted Lasso Season 4

Jason Sudeikis returns as the ever-optimistic soccer coach, alongside firm favorites from the last series. This includes club owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), longtime friend Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), ex-footballer Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), and marketing guru Keeley Jones (Juno Temple), plus a number of brand-new characters.

Joining the upcoming series are Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), Jude Mack (Back In Action), Faye Marsey (Andor), Rex Hayes (The Pact), Aisling Sharkey (Jurassic World: Dominion), and Abbie Hern (Peaky Blinders). We expect these new cast members to be part of the Greyhounds’ female squad on and off the pitch. Grant Feely (Obi-Wan Kenobi) is taking over as Ted’s son, Henry, who looks to be playing a bigger role in Ted’s story this season.

The new season 4 trailer features Rubber Band Man by Mumford & Sons and Hozier, and while light on plot but does hint at what our favorite characters have been up to since we last saw them. It also indicates that the upcoming series will tackle sexism in sport and inequality in the women’s game.

The official synposis says:
In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.

Ted Lasso season four launches on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, with one episode. New episodes will be released every Wednesday through to October 7.
