Boba Fett’s Slave I Will Have A New Name

Star Wars: Boba Fett; Slave-I; Firespray

It looks as if Disney has changed the name of an iconic ship. Known as Slave I, Slave 1, or Slave One since it was introduced into the Star Wars universe, Boba Fett’s ship will have a new name. Yes, you have read that right, it seems that the Slave 1 name will be no more. It will now be called Boba Fett’s Starship. This change was noticed very quickly by fans when LEGO officially revealed their new Boba Fett’s Starship set that is coming in August. Also, our friends over at the Boba Fett Fan Club dug into it more, and, yes it does seem like this is a done deal.

  1. More stupid, pointless virtue signaling. But what else should we expect from the woke morons at Disney?

  2. Dumb, idiotic, small details such as changing the name of a ship grow into large, costly problems when the opinions and wishes of the fans, who are the financial supporters are ignored.

  3. Typical Disney. They rewrite history constantly. Dictatorships are fond of rewriting history, hating free speech and afraid of the intelligence of their viewers.

  4. While I consider myself a fairly liberal individual who supports the Me Too and BLM movements, the ever creeping cancel culture does seem to be taking things a bit far in many respects and this is just another example. It’s like people have forgotten about “context” and how words can mean many different things.

  5. Seriously, fuck this woke bullshit. Stop rewriting history and just fucking let people enjoy things. What did Boba Fett ever do to you!!

  6. The first Kenner toy of the ship was advertised as Slave 1 in 1981 on the TV. The previous iteration in LEGO that was retired in November was called Slave 1. It’s not some obscure name that only the most hard core and nerdy of Star Wars know. It’s probably the second most well known name for a Star Wars ship after The Millennium Falcon. Star Wars fans are getting really tired of Disney’s mishandling of the IP.
