DAVE THE DIVER: Subnautica 2 Free DLC | First Reveal

Synopsis:

DAVE THE DIVER dives into the world of Subnautica 2 in an all-new crossover adventure! Join Dave and Bancho as they explore Proteus, where every strange new creature is a discovery for Dave and a new ingredient for Bancho. Make new discoveries beneath the surface and lend a hand to new friends along the way.

Upcoming Dave the Diver X Subnautica 2 Content Pack Bringing Dave and Bancho to Proteus

Dave the Diver fans and Subnautica fans, rejoice! For these two oceanic adventures will soon collide in the best way possible! Honestly, I’m just surprised that this didn’t happen sooner. These two video games are perfect for each other, especially since both of them feature catching, cooking, and eating fish as a primary feature. It’s only natural that a crossover like this would occur someday, and that time is now, it seems. Or rather, it will be when the DLC launches early next year.

And judging by that trailer, we’ll have much to look forward to. We can already see the native fauna of Proteus posing both a tantalizing catch to Dave, as well as a dangerous threat. Subnautica 2 fans will readily recognize the Nibbler Mangoes and the Collector Leviathan featured in that trailer. Both of them are quite threatening in Subnautica 2, and will continue to be so in Dave the Diver. The key difference here is that Dave is able to catch / kill them, and then cook them up. No doubt players who were frustrated by the inability to kill critters in Subnautica 2 will feel no small amount of satisfaction to be able to have those dangerous fauna for dinner.

And best of all: this DLC will be free for everyone who owns Dave the Diver. As long as you have the game, this Subnautica 2 crossover DLC will automatically become available for you as a free update. No need to pay an additional cent beyond the price of the base game, which is the best gift Mintrocket could give us.
