Industry Experience

Ben attended Drexel University to learn the ins and outs of film and television, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. After completing an internship with Rain Management Group, he graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in screenwriting and playwriting with a minor in television production.

He would go on to work with organizations such as the Philadelphia Film Society, the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival, and Chicago’s premiere nerdlesque troupe Plan 9 Burlesque while contributing to an eclectic mix of websites including Wrestling Inc, The Daily Dead, TVLine, Explore, and Tom’s Guide. Ben also co-hosts the podcast Time 2 Party, where he and co-host Ansel Burch examine which time travel movies are worth your time, and occasionally appears on the Opinion City wrestling podcast.

“Josie and the Pussycats” is the best movie ever. But beyond that, Ben considers movies like “Back to the Future,” “A Goofy Movie,” “Almost Famous,” “Casablanca,” and “The Muppet Christmas Carol,” as well as TV shows “Frasier,” “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” and “Batman: The Animated Series,” to be foundational pieces of media that shaped him into the person he is today. He is also a huge fan of professional wrestling, superhero comic books, and Disney theme parks.
