The night was young and full of dark passengers.
We’re talking, of course, about the “Dexter” celebration Paramount+ threw for the show’s 20th anniversary and to kick off the incredibly immersive New York City museum experience located at Chelsea Industrial. While the museum opened for the public from October 9 – 11, 2026, press were invited to preview the event Oct. 8 and mingle with the cast and crew, including Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Bokeem Woodbine, and more.
A Killer Experience Sprinkled in Nostalgia
The entire experience was a sickening, nostalgic look at every iteration of “Dexter” with a gigantic timeline taking up an entire wall, an offering of cocktails and mocktails that slayed, the opportunity to custom create your own keepsake on a microscope slide, and meet the cast. Costumes and props from the show were on display, including Angel Batista’s iconic fedoras and Dexter’s killing tools. The sterile, pristine feel of the entire space felt very in-line with Dexter’s obsession with cleanliness, adding to the atmosphere of the event.
One of the more fun parts of the experience was the realistically unsettling “kill room” set-up in the middle of the room that you enter through a black curtain. It’s deeply creepy, but a great opportunity for a Halloween-themed photo op. Another highlight is the bath full of blood referencing the horrific murder of Rita Morgan in the original “Dexter” season 4 finale. It’s a pretty jarring thing to stumble upon when you’re wandering around with “Dark Passenger” cocktail.

For fans who experienced it once doors opened, they also got the chance to donate blood with New York Blood Center at the onsite blood drive, with a few Dexter-inspired perks for donors. Not only is this a pretty clever way to stay on-theme, but it enables fans to help save lives by giving blood.
Hyping Up the Newest Season
Fans were also treated to a thrilling “Dexter: Resurrection” panel on the Main Stage at NYCC on Oct. 8. The crew gathered to hype up the upcoming second season. Fan favorites Hall, Thurman, Remar, Alcott, Woodbine, and Krysten Ritter took the stage alongside showrunner Clyde Phillips and executive producers Scott Reynolds and Marcos Siega, giving the audience an exclusive look at what was brewing, complete with plenty of surprises.
SHOWTIME original “Dexter: Resurrection” returns to Paramount+ on Oct. 30 only on their premium plan.
From Emmy®-nominated showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, the second season of Dexter: Resurrection finds Dexter Morgan (Hall) caught between two killers — one with decades of notoriety and a lifetime of kills behind him, and the other a fresh young face terrorizing New York in ways no one has ever seen. Meanwhile, Dexter battles a new and unexpected enemy: a mid-life crisis. Harrison (Jack Alcott) continues his own pursuit of justice as father and son face their darkest chapter yet.
