“Lanterns” is the current hot topic of conversation in the superhero world. Despite its grounded approach of a group of characters that patrol various sectors of space, the series has been able to tell a compelling and attention grabbing story that has also sprinkled a lot of Green Lantern lore through three episodes.

New episodes of “Lanterns” premiere Sunday evenings on HBO Max.

Learning About The Score Of The Series

With the recent release of “Lanterns” on HBO Max, I spoke with Stephanie Economou. She is the composer for the series. In our conversation she shared with us her approach for the two lead characters Hal Jordan and John Stewart. She went into details the differences between the two and the techniques she used to capture their personality in their themes. She also talked about why she enjoyed making the music for the town of Rushville, Nebraska. Finally she teases a single that she wrote and performs for series that we’ll hear at a later date. It was a great conversation that you can check out below.
