You see how this looks, right? A24 has released the full trailer for Primetime, giving audiences the first look at Robert Pattinson as “To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen. For anyone unfamiliar with To Catch a Predator, the show followed Hansen and a film crew as they conducted sting operations to catch child predators. The show ran as a special segment as part of Dateline NBC from 2004 to 2007. The show was ultimately cancelled in 2008 following the suicide of a suspect who fatally shot himself as police and an NBC camera crew entered his home.
Primetime is directed by Lance Oppenheim (Some Kind of Heaven) and also stars Merritt Wever and Skyler Gisondo. The film will have its world premiere at the main competition of the Venice International Film Festival in September. It will then make its way to theatres on September 25, 2026.
