FocusFest 2026 Headed For Los Angeles
Focus Features is bringing back a crowd-pleaser from last year. Check out FocusFest 2026 as it makes its way to the Universal Studios Lot. Justin Sylvester is your host for FocusFest 2026. He’ll be leading people through deep looks at Obsession and Bugonia. But, it isn’t just well-traveled movies. Three Distinct Collections
- Something for the Horror-heads:
“A celebration of the films that dare audiences to confront what frightens us, from gothic terror and supernatural horror to the darker corners of the human imagination. Featuring Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, and Curry Barker’s Obsession, the program moves from atmospheric horror to genre-bending thrills and dark comedy.”
- Romance & Period Drama afficionados:
“Stories of romance, longing and the complications of the heart take center stage in this program, bringing together three films about the desires we struggle to express and the choices that stand between people and the lives they want. Featuring Joe Wright’s Pride & Prejudice, Autumn de Wilde’s Emma. and an early advance screening of Georgia Oakley’s highly anticipated fresh take on Sense and Sensibility with special guests, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles”
- Biopics & Awards Entries:
“A collection of films about the experiences, relationships and unexpected turning points that transform us. From the exacting world of Todd Field’s TÁR and the unlikely bonds at the center of Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers to an early advance screening of Elsinore from Simon Stone and starring Andrew Scott, the program explores the moments that challenge who we are and who we become.”
What’s Up With The Festival?
FocusFest is a one-day event celebrating Focus Features’ iconic films and renowned filmmakers. Hosted by Justin Sylvester, FocusFest 2026 builds on last year’s sold-out event.
This year’s expanded celebration will feature more screenings, special guests, three uniquely curated collections and experiences that bring the worlds of Focus to life, including themed food and beverage, exclusive merchandise, interactive experiences, and surprises.
